The Kelowna Nordic Ski Club (as part of the Kal-West Interior Loppet Series) is holding a freestyle loppet on February 25th 2012. This is an inaugural loppet for the Club. It consists of 30km of fast rolling terrain, with shorter distances for younger skiers. Recreational skiers have a choice of one lap of 15km, skate or classic. The Club does not have electricity for waxing, so racers need to wax beforehand or make other arrangements. Food will be served to all participants afterwards, and is available to non-participants for $5. There will be ribbons for the first three place getters in each category, including recreational skate and classic.
Registration is through zone4, (click here) or you can download and print the brochure (registration form is included) and mail it to us. Registration closes February 22nd 2012. A waiver will be signed at race packet pickup prior to the race.
